Welcome to Fete 2026: Play in Community!

Calling all MAPP Alum to Fête 2026: Play in Community on Friday, October 23rd.

Fete is the annual MAPP Alumni Association event that brings together and celebrates our growing, diverse, and engaged community of 850+ MAPP Alum members. Fete is a delightful celebration for MAPP alumni the day before the Penn-hosted MAPP Summit.

With our Fete 2026 theme of "Play in Community," you will have a number of engaging opportunities to learn, contribute, and--literally--play together with MAPPsters.

Registration will open by August 1!

9AM - NOON ET: Mattering in Community / Arch Street Meeting House
Inspired by and in honor of Issac and Ora Prilleltensky, this MAPPster-lead experience will explore themes of mattering in community.

NOON - 1PM ET: Savoring in Community / Arch Street Meeting House

Light lunch and a communal activity.

1 - 3PM ET: Learning in Community / Various Locations in Philadelphia

Various MAPPster-led sessions and choose-your-own adventures. More details soon!

4 - 6PM ET: Play in Community / SPIN Philadelphia
A fun, dynamic experience at SPIN Philadelphia will include bites and beverages, comfy seating arrangements, and games! Meet, mingle, and play with MAPPsters!

Notes on Fete 2026 logistics:

ADA accessibility: Fete 2026 is hosted at two primary sites in downtown Philadelphia: Arch Street Meeting House and SPIN Philadelphia. Light refreshments will be available at both locations, and both locations are ADA-accessible.

Accommodations in Philadelphia: Please note this year there is no hotel block of reserved rooms for MAPPsters (creating a hotel block for Fete is a financial risk to the MAPP AA that is not longer feasible for the organization this year). It's a busy weekend in Philadelphia so book your accommodations ASAP! Chenny Henderson has offered to help MAPPsters coordinate shared housing together with Airbnbs/hostel dorms so if you are interested please complete this form.

Scholarship Fund: We recognize it takes a financial commitment to attend Fete. Thanks to the generosity of MAPPsters, we have a scholarship fund to reduce the cost for attending in-person Fete. More information will be available when registration opens by August 1.

Any remaining proceeds from Fete will fund MAPP Alumni Association-related programming, events, operations, and grants so we can all continue to foster individual, organizational, and community flourishing.

Save the date for the UPenn MAPP Summit, the annual two-day gathering of current MAPP students, Penn Positive Psychology Center faculty, Positive Psych researchers, and, of course, our robust and engaged MAPP Alumni Association community!

While Summit is not a MAPP Alumni Association hosted-event, we will post Summit information here as it becomes available from the MAPP program team. And in the meantime please save the date for Summit and the MAPP AA Fete (Friday, October 23rd). We can't wait to see you there!
